Now a sole practitioner in private practice, Craig A. Epifanio chose to start his legal career in the Pinellas-Pasco County Florida, Public Defender's Office, defending clients charged with crimes ranging from DUI misdemeanors to international drug trafficking. As a public defender, he gained invaluable experience handling hundreds of cases for his clients while treating them with respect and dignity. Importantly, he has only represented those in need of representation and has NEVER represented the State that prosecuted them.

After leaving the public defenders office, in addition to continuing his criminal defense practice he worked as a personal injury lawyer with a firm before starting his own practice in St. Petersburg, Florida. His respect in the criminal defense community is what contributed to his election in 2005 as President of the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL).

As former President of PACDL, it was my duty to maintain relationships with all involved in the criminal legal community — that includes judges, prosecutors, and other criminal defense attorneys. With over a decade of experience and knowledge of the criminal law and DUI law community, we know the courts and how to get the best resolution possible for each client.
