What is the Difference Between Sealing and Expunging a Charge?

As a practical matter, there is not a big difference between the two. Both sealing and expunging means that this will not be part of your public record. However, expunging a charge means that the records will be destroyed whereas sealing the charge means that they will always be sealed from public view. In both cases however, they are always sealed from public view.
